PRISMA CIRCUS – Reminiscences(2014)

PRISMA CIRCUS is a fuzzed out heavy Blues band from Barcelona. Having Hendrix posters on their walls, this retro trio offers a debut that captures the essence of 70s Rock. As expected they do things fully analog and this gives the record this unique warmth that legendary Rock bands of that era had. Stylistically, they prefer to keep closer to the psychedelic side of things rather than the darker one but they still manage to come out strong and heavy. Oscar Garcia Albizu (guitar) is constantly making love to the wah-wah pedal and offers some imaginative solos but what probably stands out the first couple of times is Joaquín Escudero Arce voice: Throaty, calm at times but almost screaming at others decorated by a mesmerizing accent. Lovers of RADIO MOSCOW, ZODIAC and GRAVEYARD don’t miss this one. This is totally addictive classic Rock.
